  • 500 grams Pastel dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 500 grams Ground beef (lean)
  • 3 large Hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1 medium Onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup Green olives, pitted and sliced(optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Green onions, chopped
  • 1 liter Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika

Instructions

    In a large skillet, sauté the onions and garlic in a little oil until translucent and fragrant.

    Add the ground beef to the skillet, browning it thoroughly while breaking up any large chunks.

    Season the beef with salt, pepper, and paprika, then stir in the green olives and green onions.

    Remove the beef mixture from heat and let it cool completely before adding the chopped hard-boiled eggs.

    Cut the pastel dough into rectangles or circles and place a spoonful of the beef and egg filling in the center.

    Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges firmly with a fork to seal them tightly.

    Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (180°C) and fry the pastéis until they are golden brown and bubbly.
