- 12 oz Linguine or Spaghetti
- 2 cups Cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup Fresh basil leaves, torn
- 4 cloves Garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 medium Yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 4.5 cups Vegetable broth or water
- 2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes(optional)
- 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese, grated(optional)

In a large straight-sided skillet or pot, combine the pasta, tomatoes, onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, olive oil, and broth.

Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.

Reduce heat to a simmer and cook, stirring and turning the pasta frequently with tongs, for about 9 to 12 minutes.

Cook until the pasta is al dente and the liquid has evaporated into a thick, creamy sauce.

Stir in the fresh basil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
