Ingredients
- 4 ounces Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 0.25 cup Unsalted butter
- 0.5 cup Powdered sugar
- 1 large Egg
- 1 large Egg yolk
- 0.5 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons All-purpose flour
- 1 pinch Salt
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C). Grease two 6-ounce ramekins with butter and dust with a little cocoa powder or flour.
- 2
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until completely smooth.
- 3
Whisk in the powdered sugar until combined.
- 4
Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract. Whisk until the mixture is thick and glossy.
- 5
Gently fold in the flour and salt until just combined; do not overmix.
- 6
Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared ramekins.
- 7
Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the sides are firm but the center still looks soft and slightly jiggly.
- 8
Let the cakes cool in the ramekins for 1 minute, then carefully run a knife around the edges and invert onto dessert plates.
- 9
Serve immediately while the center is still molten.
