Ingredients
- 4 pieces Salmon fillets
- 3 tablespoons White miso paste
- 2 tablespoons Mirin
- 2 tablespoons Sake
- 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon Toasted sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon Grated fresh ginger(optional)
- 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
- 2 stalks Green onions, sliced(optional)
- 1 teaspoon Toasted sesame seeds(optional)
Instructions
- 1
In a small bowl, whisk together the white miso, mirin, sake, sugar, sesame oil, and ginger until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- 2
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to ensure the marinade sticks properly.
- 3
Place the salmon in a shallow dish or a zip-top bag and pour the miso mixture over them, ensuring they are well coated.
- 4
Marinate the salmon in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, though 2 hours is ideal for deeper flavor.
- 5
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with vegetable oil.
- 6
Remove the salmon from the marinade, gently wiping off excess paste so it doesn't burn, and place on the baking sheet.
- 7
Bake for 10-12 minutes, then turn on the broiler for the last 1-2 minutes until the top is caramelized and bubbly.
- 8
Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving warm.
