Ingredients
- 2 lbs Ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Fresh thyme, minced
- 1 teaspoon Fresh rosemary, minced
- 2 large Eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 medium Yellow onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup Whole milk
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Brown sugar(optional)
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- 2
In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup and brown sugar to create the glaze; set aside.
- 3
In a large mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, milk, beaten eggs, and Worcestershire sauce, allowing the crumbs to soak for 5 minutes.
- 4
Add the finely diced onion, minced garlic, parsley, thyme, and rosemary to the breadcrumb mixture.
- 5
Gently fold in the ground beef using your hands or a fork, being careful not to overwork the meat which can make it tough.
- 6
Press the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- 7
Bake for 45 minutes, then remove from the oven and spread the ketchup glaze evenly over the top.
- 8
Return to the oven for an additional 15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- 9
Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing to ensure it stays juicy.
