Ingredients

  • 1 pound Flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh ginger
  • 3 minced Garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 2 cups Broccoli florets
  • 1 sliced Red bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Slice the beef across the grain into thin strips.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and half of the minced ginger.

  3. 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.

  4. 4

Add the beef in a single layer and sear until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove beef from the pan and set aside.

  5. 5

Add the remaining oil to the pan and stir-fry the broccoli, bell pepper, garlic, and remaining ginger for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.

  6. 6

Return the beef to the pan and pour the sauce over the mixture.

  7. 7

Toss everything together for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.

  8. 8

Serve hot over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
