Ingredients

  • 1 lb White fish fillets (cod or tilapia)
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Light beer
  • 12 pieces Corn tortillas
  • 2 cups Shredded cabbage
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup Sour cream
  • 1 tbsp Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying
  • 4 pieces Lime wedges(optional)

    In a small bowl, blend mayonnaise, sour cream, and minced chipotle peppers to make the sauce.

    Heat oil in a heavy skillet to 375 degrees F.

    Pat fish dry, cut into 3-inch strips, dip into batter, and fry until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes per side).
