Ingredients

Servings:6
  • 1 pound Ziti pasta
  • 24 ounces Marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces Whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup Grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

  2. 2

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the ziti for 2 minutes less than the package directions for al dente.

  3. 3

In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, half of the parmesan, parsley, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  4. 4

Drain the pasta and return it to the pot, then stir in the marinara sauce until the noodles are well coated.

  5. 5

Spread half of the sauced ziti into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

  6. 6

Dollop the ricotta mixture evenly over the pasta, then sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.

  7. 7

Top with the remaining pasta, the rest of the mozzarella, and the remaining parmesan cheese.

  8. 8

Bake for 30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned on top; let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
