Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ziti pasta
  • 24 ounces Marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 pinch Salt and black pepper

Instructions

    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the ziti until slightly firm (al dente), then drain.

    In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, half of the Parmesan, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

    Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

    Toss the cooked ziti with the remaining marinara sauce in the large pot or a mixing bowl.

    Layer half of the sauced ziti into the dish, followed by dollops of the ricotta mixture and half of the mozzarella.

    Add the remaining ziti, top with the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

    Bake for 30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown on top.
