Creamy Garlic Butter Pasta

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Fettuccine or Spaghetti
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley(optional)

    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente.

    While pasta cooks, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

    Add the minced garlic to the butter and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

    Whisk in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.

    Stir in the grated parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.

    Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
