- 10 ounces Canned tuna in water, drained
- 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Celery, finely diced
- 1 tablespoon Red onion, minced
- 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Fresh dill, chopped(optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt and black pepper
- 4 slices Sourdough bread slices
- 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter, softened
- 4 slices Sharp cheddar cheese slices
- 1 medium Tomato, thinly sliced(optional)

In a medium bowl, flake the drained tuna with a fork and mix in the mayonnaise, celery, red onion, lemon juice, and dill.

Season the tuna mixture with salt and pepper to taste, stirring until well combined.

Butter one side of each bread slice evenly with the softened butter.

Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, in a large non-stick skillet over medium-low heat.

Top each slice in the skillet with one slice of cheddar cheese, a generous scoop of the tuna mixture, and two slices of tomato.

Place the remaining cheese slices over the tuna, then top with the remaining bread slices, butter-side facing up.

Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, flipping carefully, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is thoroughly melted.
