  • 1 ball Pizza dough
  • 0.5 cup San Marzano canned tomatoes
  • 4 oz Fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 6 leaves Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch Sea salt

    Preheat your oven to its highest setting (usually 500°F/260°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.

    Crush the canned tomatoes by hand or with a fork and season with a pinch of salt.

    Stretch the pizza dough on a floured surface into a 12-inch circle.

    Spread the tomato sauce thinly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.

    Tear the fresh mozzarella into bite-sized pieces and distribute evenly over the sauce.

    Transfer the pizza to the hot stone or baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until the crust is charred and cheese is bubbly.

    Remove from oven, immediately top with fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of olive oil before serving.
