- 6 ounces high-quality semi-sweet chocolate (60% cacao)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 whole large eggs
- 2 yolks large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar(optional)

Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C) and generously grease four 6-ounce ramekins with butter and a dusting of cocoa powder.

In a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, melt the chopped chocolate and butter together until completely smooth.

In a medium mixing bowl, beat the whole eggs, egg yolks, granulated sugar, salt, and vanilla extract with a whisk until thick and pale yellow.

Gently fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture using a spatula until well combined.

Sift the flour over the batter and gently fold it in just until no white streaks remain; do not overmix.

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins and place them on a sturdy baking sheet.

Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until the sides are firm and set, but the center still jiggles slightly when moved.
