Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef Ribeye
  • 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 0.25 cup Grated Asian Pear
  • 1 tsp Fresh Ginger
  • 2 stalks Green Onions
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Freeze the beef for 30 minutes to make it easier to slice, then cut into very thin strips against the grain.

  2. 2

In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated pear, and ginger.

  3. 3

Add the beef to the marinade and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.

  4. 4

Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat with a small amount of oil.

  5. 5

Add the beef in a single layer, working in batches if necessary, and cook until browned and slightly charred, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  6. 6

Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving with steamed rice.
