Chicken Teriyaki

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 0.25 cup Soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup Mirin
  • 2 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds(optional)
  • 2 stalks Green onions, sliced(optional)

Instructions

    In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, sugar, ginger, and garlic until the sugar is dissolved.

    Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.

    Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

    Add chicken to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.

    Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the skillet.

    Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens into a glossy glaze that coats the chicken.

    Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

    Serve immediately over warm rice or vegetables.
