Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons White miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon Mirin
  • 1 tablespoon Sake
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Grated ginger(optional)
  • 1 stalk Green onions, sliced(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small bowl, whisk together the miso paste, mirin, sake, sugar, and ginger until smooth.

  2. 2

Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.

  3. 3

Coat the salmon fillets generously with the miso mixture. If time permits, let marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, otherwise proceed to cooking.

  4. 4

Preheat your oven broiler to high and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, lightly greasing it.

  5. 5

Place the salmon on the baking sheet, skin-side down.

  6. 6

Broil for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the top is charred and caramelized and the salmon is cooked through.

  7. 7

Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately with steamed rice.
