Ingredients
- 0.5 cup Unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 3 pieces Large eggs
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
- 0.5 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
- 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
- 0.25 teaspoon Salt
- 8 ounces Cream cheese, softened
- 0.25 cup Granulated sugar (for cheesecake)
- 0.5 cup Chocolate chips(optional)

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and 1 cup of sugar, then add 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.

Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined; fold in chocolate chips if using.

Spread all but 1/4 cup of the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.

In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla until smooth.

Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter in the pan, then dollop the remaining 1/4 cup of brownie batter on top.

Use a butter knife to gently swirl the two batters together to create a marble effect.
