Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef ribeye, thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Toasted sesame oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup Asian pear, grated
  • 1 tsp Ginger, grated
  • 2 stalks Green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, pear, and ginger to create the marinade.

  2. 2

Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade and toss to coat thoroughly.

  3. 3

Let the beef marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor).

  4. 4

Heat a large skillet or cast-iron grill pan over high heat with a small amount of oil.

  5. 5

Working in batches to avoid crowding, spread the beef in a single layer and cook until browned and slightly charred, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  6. 6

Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving with steamed rice.
