Baked Ziti with Ricotta

Ingredients
- 1 lb Ziti pasta
- 24 oz Marinara sauce
- 15 oz Ricotta cheese
- 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Dried oregano
- 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped(optional)

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook ziti until slightly underdone (about 2 minutes less than package directions). Drain.

In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, dried oregano, and half of the parmesan cheese. Mix well.

In the large pot used for the pasta, toss the cooked ziti with the marinara sauce.

Spread half of the pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Dollop the ricotta mixture over the pasta, then sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella.

Top with the remaining pasta mixture, the remaining mozzarella, and the remaining parmesan.

Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
