Baja Fish Tacos

Crispy beer-battered white fish served in flour tortillas with a zesty cabbage slaw and chipotle crema.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb White fish fillets (cod or tilapia)
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Light beer
  • 12 pieces Corn tortillas
  • 2 cups Shredded cabbage
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream
  • 2 tbsp Lime juice
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying
  • 0.25 cup Cilantro(optional)

Instructions

    Whisk together flour and beer in a bowl until smooth to create the batter.

    Cut fish into 3-inch strips and pat dry with paper towels.

    Heat oil in a heavy skillet to 375°F (190°C).

    Dip fish strips into the batter and fry in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.

    Mix sour cream and lime juice in a small bowl to create the crema.

    Warm tortillas in a dry pan or microwave.
