Turon Banana Lumpia
A popular Filipino street food made of sliced saba bananas and jackfruit rolled in a spring roll wrapper and fried until caramelized.

Ingredients
- 6 pieces Saba bananas (ripe)
- 12 sheets Lumpia wrappers
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Jackfruit strips (langka)
- 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying
- 2 tablespoons Water
- 1 piece Egg white(optional)
- 1 pinch Salt
Instructions

Peel the saba bananas and cut them in half lengthwise.

Roll each banana half in the brown sugar until evenly and generously coated.

Place a sugared banana half on a lumpia wrapper and add two to three strips of jackfruit on top.

Fold the bottom of the wrapper over the banana, tuck in the sides, and roll tightly toward the top.

Seal the edge of the wrapper with a small amount of water or beaten egg white.

Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat and sprinkle a tablespoon of brown sugar into the oil to create a caramel glaze.

Fry the rolls in batches, turning frequently until the wrapper is golden brown and the sugar has caramelized on the outside.

Remove from the pan and drain on a wire rack immediately to keep them crispy.
