In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground sausage and beef until fully cooked, then drain the excess fat.
Place the cooked meat into the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker.
Add the diced onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic to the slow cooker and stir to combine with the meat.
Stir in the uncooked white rice, Cajun seasoning, dried thyme, and Worcestershire sauce until the rice is evenly coated.
Pour the beef broth over the mixture and stir once more to ensure everything is submerged.
Cover and cook on High for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is fully absorbed.
Turn off the heat and let the rice sit covered for 10 minutes to finish steaming.
Fluff the rice gently with a fork and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
