Ingredients

Servings:4
  • 1 pound Ground beef (90% lean)
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red pepper flakes(optional)
  • 3 whole Green onions, sliced
  • 3 cups Cooked white rice
  • 1 teaspoon Toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup Shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup Cucumber, sliced

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 2

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef.

  3. 3

Cook the beef, breaking it into small crumbles with a wooden spoon, until browned and no longer pink.

  4. 4

Drain any excess fat from the skillet, then stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.

  5. 5

Pour the soy sauce mixture over the beef and stir well to coat.

  6. 6

Simmer the beef for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and creates a glaze.

  7. 7

Divide the cooked rice into four bowls and top each with a portion of the bulgogi beef.

  8. 8

Garnish with shredded carrots, cucumber slices, green onions, and sesame seeds before serving.
