Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Beef short ribs (flanken-cut)
  • 0.5 cup Soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup Brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup Asian pear, grated
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated
  • 2 stalks Green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Toasted sesame seeds(optional)

Instructions

    Rinse the beef short ribs in cold water to remove any bone fragments and pat dry with paper towels.

    In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, grated pear, garlic, sesame oil, ginger, and green onions.

    Place the ribs in a large resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring every piece is coated.

    Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

    Preheat your grill or indoor grill pan to medium-high heat.

    Grill the ribs for 3-5 minutes per side until charred and cooked through.

    Garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot with rice and kimchi.
