Ingredients
- 1 sheet Frozen puff pastry
- 3 large Egg yolks
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
- 1 cup Whole milk
- 1/2 cup Heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground cinnamon(optional)
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 tablespoon Unsalted butter

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin.

In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, and salt, then gradually stir in the milk and heavy cream.

Cook the milk mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens and begins to bubble.

In a small bowl, temper the egg yolks by slowly adding a few spoonfuls of the hot milk mixture, then pour the yolks back into the saucepan.

Continue cooking for 1-2 minutes until thick, then remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and butter.

Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut into 12 equal circles, pressing each into the muffin tin cups.

Fill each pastry shell with the custard until about three-quarters full.

Bake for 18-20 minutes until the pastry is golden brown and the custard has slightly browned spots on top.
