Ingredients
- 500 g Chicken thigh meat, bite-sized pieces
- 0.5 cup Potato starch
- 2 tbsp Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 3 tbsp Honey or corn syrup
- 1 tbsp Minced garlic
- 1 tbsp Rice wine or Mirin
- 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying
- 1 tsp Roasted sesame seeds(optional)
- 0.5 tsp Black pepper
Instructions

Season chicken pieces with salt, black pepper, and rice wine. Let sit for 10 minutes.

Coat the chicken pieces thoroughly with potato starch, pressing firmly to ensure a thick layer.

Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry chicken in batches for 5-7 minutes until golden. Remove and drain.

Increase heat and fry the chicken a second time for 2-3 minutes until very crunchy and golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

In a separate pan, combine gochujang, soy sauce, honey, and garlic. Simmer over medium heat until the sauce bubbles and thickens slightly.

Add the fried chicken to the sauce and toss quickly to coat every piece evenly.

Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
