- 12 ounces Ziti pasta
- 16 ounces Cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme
- 1/2 cup Vegetable broth
- 1 to taste Salt and black pepper

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the ziti until just al dente, about 2 minutes less than package directions.

While the pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sauté the mushrooms until browned and moisture has evaporated.

Add the minced garlic and thyme to the mushrooms, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.

Stir in the heavy cream and vegetable broth, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

Drain the pasta and toss it directly into the skillet with the mushroom cream sauce and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan.

Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
