Ingredients

Servings:4
  • 4 servings Ramen noodles
  • 6 cups Chicken stock
  • 4 tablespoons Red miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Grated ginger
  • 3 cloves Minced garlic
  • 200 grams Ground pork
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 2 pieces Soft-boiled eggs(optional)
  • 2 stalks Green onions
  • 1 cup Bean sprouts(optional)
  • 2 sheets Nori seaweed(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat and sauté the garlic and ginger until fragrant.

  2. 2

Add the ground pork to the pot and cook until browned, breaking it into small crumbles.

  3. 3

Pour in the chicken stock and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer for 10 minutes.

  4. 4

In a small bowl, whisk the miso paste with a ladle of warm broth until smooth, then stir it back into the pot.

  5. 5

Add the soy sauce and taste the broth, adjusting seasoning if necessary, but do not let it boil vigorously once miso is added.

  6. 6

In a separate pot of boiling water, cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions and drain.

  7. 7

Divide the noodles into four deep bowls and pour the hot miso broth over them.

  8. 8

Top each bowl with half a soft-boiled egg, sliced green onions, bean sprouts, and a square of nori.
