- 1/2 cup Asian pear, grated
- 1 tsp Ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 2 stalks Green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp Toasted sesame seeds(optional)
- 2 tbsp Mirin or rice wine
Instructions
- 1
Rinse the short ribs in cold water to remove any bone fragments from the sawing process and pat dry with paper towels.
- 2
In a large mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated Asian pear, ginger, mirin, and black pepper.
- 3
Whisk the marinade until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- 4
Place the ribs in a large shallow dish or a gallon-sized freezer bag and pour the marinade over them, ensuring every piece is coated.
- 5
Refrigerate and marinate for at least 4 hours, though overnight is preferred for the best flavor and tenderness.
- 6
Preheat your grill or indoor grill pan to medium-high heat.
- 7
Grill the ribs for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until charred and caramelized on the outside and cooked through.
- 8
Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving hot.
