- 2 large Boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
- 2 units Large eggs
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups Marinara sauce
- 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 leaves Fresh basil leaves(optional)
- 1 pinch Salt and black pepper

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a large baking sheet.

Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create four thin cutlets, then pound to even thickness.

Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, salt, and pepper; one with beaten eggs; and one with panko, Parmesan, and oregano mixed together.

Dredge each chicken piece in flour, dip in egg, then coat thoroughly with the panko-Parmesan mixture.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken for 2 minutes per side until golden (but not cooked through).

Place seared chicken on the baking sheet and top each piece with a generous spoonful of marinara sauce.

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce and bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and chicken is cooked to 165°F.
