- 1 1/2 cups Dark chocolate chips or chunks
- 1 teaspoon Flaky sea salt (Maldon)(optional)

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, swirling until it foams and turns a deep golden brown with a nutty aroma.

Pour the browned butter into a large bowl and let it cool for 10 minutes before whisking in the brown and white sugars.

Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, whisking vigorously until smooth and shiny.
