Ingredients
- 4 pieces Cube steaks (beef)
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons Dry BBQ rib rub
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 1 piece Large egg
- 1 cup Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/2 cup Sweet BBQ sauce
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder

Pat the cube steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.

In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, BBQ rib rub, and garlic powder until well combined.

In a second shallow bowl, whisk the egg and buttermilk together to create the wet wash.

Dredge each steak first in the flour mixture, then dip into the buttermilk mixture, and finally back into the flour for a thick coating.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches approximately 350 degrees F.

Carefully place steaks in the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes per side until the breading is deep golden brown and crispy.

Remove steaks from the pan and let them drain on a wire rack or paper towels for 2 minutes.

Drizzle the warm sweet BBQ sauce over the top of each steak before serving.
